Get to Know Me

Samantha was born and raised in the Upstate of New York, where her interest and aptitude for serving others began developing at an unusually young age. She spent much of her high school and college years employed in various roles at a small, family-owned diner-style restaurant. It was there that she realized her professional ambition would be to have a career that facilitated service to others through the cultivation of strong relationships.

Samantha obtained her biology degree from Le Moyne University in 2011, with the intention of entering the medical field. After a stint as an EMT, she decided that the field wasn’t for her, although she maintained her passion for service. Shortly after graduating from college, Samantha married her husband, Josh, an active-duty member of the United States Army at that time. Due to the nature of Josh’s service, Samantha and Josh first relocated from the Upstate of New York to Washington, D.C., and then to Fort Rucker in Alabama.

Samantha’s next career stops took her into the sales industry, specifically automotive sales. After stints at several top brands, including Mercedes-Benz, Samantha began to realize she enjoyed developing a rapport with her customers and enjoyed selling luxury vehicles, something she found herself genuinely passionate about sharing with others.

During an overnight stop in Greenville while traveling between Washington and Alabama, Samantha and Josh were instantly smitten with what Greenville had to offer them. They decided then, and there, Greenville was where they intended to put down roots. The Snyders moved to Greenville as soon as Josh’s military service ended. Josh now works as a general contractor and home builder, while Samantha’s passion for sales and service led her to Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty, to work with her brother-in-law, Patrick Furman, as The Furman Group.

In her leisure time, Samantha enjoys exploring the Upstate, both its cities and towns and restaurants, as well as its abundant wilderness areas and outdoor attractions. As a relatively new resident to Greenville who knew it was “home” the first couple of hours she spent here, Samantha really enjoys helping others discover things about the Upstate of South Carolina as well. Samantha is also passionate about volunteer work. She performs her volunteer and community work primarily through her status as a member of the Junior League of Greenville.

Samantha is part of The Furman Group, which was Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty leader in volume in 2020.
